The SFSD Leadership Team is just as happy today as they were as Kindergarten students! Together, they've been in school a total of 150 years! Show us your "First Day" photos with #SFSDFirstDay. Have a GREAT year!

School starts on August 24th. We can't wait to see YOU on Thursday!

We hope to see you all at our "GOLD RUSH" tomorrow night, Thursday, August 17! Gold Rush is the annual back-to-school night at Jefferson High School. This is a great opportunity to meet your student’s teachers, walk your student's schedule, and see the school.

SFSD congratulates its valued partner Steve Hildebrand of Promising Futures! Steve recently received the Community Service Award from the Associated School Boards of SD for his work to remove economic barriers so all students can see their bright futures ahead. Thank you, Steve!

This week, Jefferson students in the PBL Academy were invited to participate in a summer meet up. Students engaged in team building activities, learned about volunteer opportunities in the community, and painted kindness rocks!

Back-to-school paperwork just got easier! There's a new, fast, phone-friendly way to fill out the Free/Reduced Meals Application! You'll be notified immediately. Use the QR code or the link to complete it TODAY! Bonus points if you also complete your student registration! 🙂

Do you have a question for us? We've made the process of finding answers much simpler with our Let's Talk! communication tool. We now have our own Let's Talk! page where you can submit questions directly, and it's easy to navigate! Let's Talk! can be found on our school's homepage at either the "contact us" tab at the top or the blue "Let's Talk" tab on the side of the page.

Freedom Reigns! Happy Independence Day!

The Power of Partnership is highlighted, once again, to help SFSD families get connected to affordable internet. The SF Area Community Foundation is investing $50,000 to enroll households in the Affordable Connectivity Program (AFP). SD Voices for Peace leads the effort.
Voices for Peace is working with SFSD schools to inform families of this program. An enrollment specialist will continue to meet families during school events like parent-teacher conferences, success nights, etc. Eligible families should enroll today! GetInternet.gov
