iPads and Chromebooks were sent home with each student earlier today. We will not have in-person learning in the schools, but students are expected to connect to their Canvas account from home for assignments and learning resources. They have practiced this at school and know what is expected of them.

Last week was Generosity Week, and students got into the holiday spirit with themed dress-up days, from ugly sweaters to festive red and green. Students and staff joined a penny war for the Cavalier Closet and purchased gifts for Lifescape.
The 3rd Annual Presidents Bowl Basketball Classic will be held at the Sanford Pentagon. Jefferson boys and girls face Washington on Monday the 29th and Lincoln on Tuesday the 30th. This fundraiser supports Sioux Falls School District activities programs. No passes accepted.
Ms. Ellis’ World Geo 2 classes made fresh naan today to explore how this staple food traveled the Silk Road from ancient Persia to places like India and Pakistan. A delicious, hands-on way to understand cultural exchange and geography!

It's opening night! Join us for our winter play, Pinocchio. Follow his misadventures from the chaos of Mastroni’s puppet show to his brave rescue of his father. Shows are Dec. 9 and 11–12 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $6 at the door. We would love to see you there!
Start your Saturday with Jazz, Pans, and Pastries in the JHS Commons from 9 a.m. to noon. Pre-order tickets by emailing director Macklin; limited tickets will be available at the door. Last week in Single Survival, seniors heard from both local entrepreneurs and college representatives as they continued exploring life after high school. Travis and Kristen Rhoades shared how an unexpected opportunity led them from teaching and tech to becoming franchise owners of 16 Scooters Coffee locations across the Sioux Falls area, offering insights into the challenges and rewards of running a business. Later in the week, Augustana University admissions counselors and students visited to talk about academic programs, scholarships, and campus life, giving seniors a glimpse into what college at Augie has to offer.
Last week, 195 sundaes were handed out to students in grades 10–12 who made the Spring 2025 Honor Roll. Thank you to the Renaissance Committee for recognizing student achievement and to Dairy Queen for donating the ice cream. Keep up the hard work!
It’s time for the 11AAA Football Playoff Semifinals as Jefferson takes on Sioux Falls Lincoln under the lights TONIGHT, November 7 at 6 p.m. at Howard Wood Field. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults. No passes accepted. Jefferson fans will sit on the visitor side.
