
Congratulations to Tanya Rausis, All City 2nd grade teacher, for her recent nominations as a candidate for teacher of the year for the Sioux Falls School District! We are so proud of her and all of our deserving teachers on staff!
The Sioux Falls School District alongside our friends at Vern Eide Motorcars are please to announce there are 83 nominees for the 37th Annual Dr. John W. Harris Teacher of the Year award!
These exceptional educators were nominated by students, parents, and colleagues who recognize the incredible impact they have on our schools and community. From inspiring young minds to going above and beyond every day, these teachers embody what it means to make a difference.
A judging committee will meet next week to determine the finalists. Those finalists will be notified and the 2025 Teacher of the Year will be announced on Monday, February 24th, 2025.

Third graders in Miss Leloux's class enjoyed a STEM Friday opportunity last Friday. They used handheld microscopes and traditional microscopes to explore items around them. They thought this was so fun and cool! They also designed magnetic marble runs! All of these items have been donated through grants from the Sioux Falls Public School Education Foundation! Thank you to all of those generous donors!

Happy New Year from everybody at SFSD! Here's to another year of opportunities and possibilities. We are excited to welcome back students and staff TOMORROW, January 2nd, 2025! We can’t wait to see everyone!


Students earned Zoom BINGO for their December PBIS reward!! They had so much fun and won lots of prizes!





So many fun holiday traditions happened during the month of the December! We had dress up days for 12 Days of Christmas, Family Traditions, holiday parties, Christmas Jars, and so many fun memories created!!

The 4th and 5th graders from ACE & EIC got to play Christmas SINGO while enjoying hot chocolate! They had a blast!




Kindergartners had a blast making gingerbread houses together!! So fun!




We are thankful for these ACE teachers and all they do for our school! They really "sleighed" this first half of the year! Happy holidays!
